Northwestern University Translational Research in Hematology-Oncology T32 Training Program

The Northwestern University Translational Research in Hematology-Oncology (NU-TRIHO) Training Program seeks to develop the next generation of physician scientists in hematology/oncology. It provides educational and research experiences that integrate and bridge basic and clinical sciences, thereby establishing a solid foundation for translational research. Open to existing Northwestern University adult and pediatric hematology-oncology fellows, each trainee receives two years of support to conduct laboratory or clinical research under the mentorship of established, well-funded investigators. Supplementing the research training, the educational component of the program includes:

  • Grant Writing
  • Biostatistics
  • Clinical Trial Design
  • Responsible Conduct of Research
  • Scientific Rigor and Reproducibility
  • Translational Research Journal Club

The NU-TRIHO Training Program is funded by the National Cancer Institute as an institutional National Research Search Award (T32CA268935). In addition to salary support, trainees receive an allocation for supplies, travel, and tuition. For more information, contact Hidayatullah Munshi, MD.
