Lurie Children’s is committed to caring for each patient’s physical, emotional and social needs in a kid-friendly environment.

A multidisciplinary team of experts provide family-centered care, involving the whole family in a patient’s treatment plan. The Center’s physicians work closely with pediatric radiation oncologists and other Lurie Cancer Center specialists.

We treat patients ranging in age from newborns to young adults. Families from throughout the Midwest and across the country come to Lurie Children’s to take advantage of resources for patients ranging in age from newborns to young adults.

VIEW PROGRAMS & SERVICES

Research

Lurie Children’s has a thriving research program, encompassing many groundbreaking studies in patients (clinical trials) as well as basic science investigations and translational research using a “bench to bedside” approach.

A multidisciplinary team of physician-scientists conducts various research projects through the Stanley Manne Children's Research Institute at Lurie Children's to help promote patient care and better educate families.

Training & Education

Lurie Children's has a three year accredited fellowship in Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, Neuro-Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation offered in partnership with Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. The program offers fellows a broad-based clinical experience and clinical research exposure in an academic environment. They also offer a fellowship in pediatric neuro-oncology.
