Cancer-Focused Research
My primary research efforts are based on increasing understanding of the role of aberrant signal transduction pathways in the development of myeloid neoplasms; defining molecular targets for the treatment of leukemias; and generating clinical trials based on such research work. With extensive experience in translational work in this area, I actively participated in work to define the roles mTOR and Mnk pathways in the generation of anti-leukemic responses in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML).
