Cancer-Focused Research
I dedicate 75% of my time to clinical research in early drug development with a focus in gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies. Through my participation in these early clinical studies, I have been able to run parallel experiments with these novel compounds in the laboratory to evaluate further efficacy of combination therapies, evaluate resistance to therapies and identify mechanism to overcome resistance and the role of apoptosis/autophagy in cancer development. Further I have an interest in oncolytic viral therapy as a targeted approach to cancer cell eradication and its the immuno-modulatory effects.
