Cancer-Focused Research
Dr. Roque's research and clinical work focus on gynecologic cancers. He is interested in the development of clinical trials assessing the role of innovative therapies in the management of gynecological cancers with a focus on ovarian, uterine and cervical malignancies. He has previously served as site PI for two NRG/GOG multi-institutional clinical trials. He is also interested in cost-effectiveness and graduate medical education research. He has conducted extensive research on the role of obesity in endometrial cancer. In addition, Dr. Roque has developed cost-effectiveness models for cancer related interventions, including the role of peri-operative heparin in patients undergoing laparoscopic gynecologic surgery and the role of bevacizumab in the management of recurrent ovarian cancer.
