Cancer-Focused Research
My research applies evidence-based methodologies to improve indicators of health, quality of life, and well-being in cancer patient populations, caregivers, as well as oncology healthcare professionals. Using mixed methods and bio-behavioral approaches, my focus lies at the intersection of measurement science and the development and validation of patient reported outcomes; digital health solutions to facilitate social connection, self-management and health behavior change; contemplative awareness practices (mindfulness, yoga) in relation to indicators of quality of life and well-being, emotion regulation, and neuroendocrine, immune, and HPA-Axis functioning; and community engaged research to insure our approach is grounded and guided by the wisdom and interests of stakeholders.
