Lurie Cancer Center - NUCATS Joint Translational Bridge Program Award

Please join us in congratulating Derek Wainwright, PhD, assistant professor of Neurological Surgery and Rimas Lukas, MD, associate professor of Neurology, on receiving the Lurie Cancer Center – NUCATS Joint Translational Bridge Program award for their proposal to study “Aging-induced immunoregulation in subjects with glioblastoma.”

They will collaborate with Douglas Vaughan, MD, the Irving S. Cutter Professor and chair, Department of Medicine, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

Established to advance translational research studies focusing on biological pathways that are dysregulated in both neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases, the Lurie Cancer Center-NUCATS Joint Translational Bridge Program award will provide an invaluable opportunity to bring new perspectives and clinical expertise to adverse effects associated with the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors.
