Oncology Nursing Discovery Program

Program Description

The Lurie Cancer Center is accepting applications for the Oncology Nursing Discovery Program – an exciting opportunity to obtain valuable exposure to the field of oncology nursing. Open to current students enrolled in an undergraduate nursing degree program at an accredited college or university, this program provides access to Lurie Cancer Center’s professional nursing educational programming, guided tours of hospital and university facilities, and participation in small group sessions with Northwestern Medicine’s nursing leadership.

Eligibility

A limited number of awardees will be granted admission in the program, based on the following criteria, through an online application process:

  • Applicants must be current students in an undergraduate nursing degree program at an accredited college or university
  • Applicants must have an interest in oncology nursing

Program Details

  • Complimentary conference registration for the Lurie Cancer Center’s Pain & Palliative Conference (June 20, 2019) and Oncology Nursing Conference (November 22, 2019)
  • Complimentary onsite parking during conferences
  • Guided tour of hospital and university facilities
  • Small group sessions with nurse leaders
  • Program completion certificate

Application Process

Complete and submit the online application by Friday, May 17, 2019. Applications will not be accepted after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019. Applicants will be notified by Friday, May 31, 2019, whether they have been accepted into the program.
