Northwestern Cancer Prevention Consortium
The Northwestern Cancer Prevention Consortium (NCPC), led by Seema Khan, MD since 2003, supports early-phase clinical trials for cancer prevention. These trials are designed by a core group of dedicated researchers within the consortium and the National Cancer Institute, Division of Cancer Prevention (NCI DCP). The consortium facilitates multi-site recruitment across institutes in the United States and Canada and manages regulatory tasks through its Core Administrative Team.
The NCPC works as a part of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Lurie Cancer Center is a national leader in cancer research and resources, supporting care for a broad range of cancer types thanks to a distinguished and dedicated faculty and staff, a world-class teaching program and a commitment to making ongoing advances in medical, surgical, radiation and interventional oncology.
