Associate Director, Clinical Research

The Associate Director for Clinical Research is appointed by and reports to the director of the Lurie Cancer Center. In this role, Jochen Lorch, MD, will work closely with Lurie Cancer Center’s Deputy Director, Maha Hussain, MD, and Director of the Clinical Trials Office, Devalingam Mahalingam, MBBChBAO, to optimize clinical research and accelerate the development of clinical trials in the Lurie Cancer Center. 

Lorch is Professor of Medicine (Hematology and Oncology) and Director of Medical Oncology of Lurie Cancer Center’s Head and Neck Cancer and Thyroid Cancer Programs.

Dr. Lorch's research interests include immunologic and targeted cancer therapies, and he has led multiple investigator-initiated clinical trials and translational research projects. He has given numerous invited talks on head and neck cancer both nationally and internationally.
