Frontier, Upstairs Private Event Lounge
1072 North Milwaukee Ave., Chicago

The Arts of Courage Project (ACP) will host its inaugural event, raising funds and awareness for cancer survivors and their families, on Saturday, March 2nd, 2013. Held in the private upstairs lounge at Frontier, the silent art auction and celebration will feature work donated by local and national artists who have discovered healing through creative expression.

Founded by Lurie Cancer Center patient, Jorie Gillis, ACP’s mission is to create an empowering opportunity for cancer survivors to express themselves artistically. They are actively seeking artwork for the event, and personal stories associated with each piece, created by anyone affected by cancer. Visit the ACP website for details about submitting art.

“The Arts of Courage Project is deeply personal for me,” says Gillis, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011.“Possessing and openly sharing one’s courage and power through artistic exploration is a crucial and therapeutic release. It deserves to be recognized, honored and celebrated.”

100% of funds raised by the Arts of Courage Project will support LIVESTRONG Foundation survivorship programs and services. Tickets are $20 in advance or $30 at the door.

For additional information and to purchase tickets visit the ACP website.
